BUT HOW DO THEY KNOW??!?
I’ve been consistently impressed by Amazon’s personalised recommendations and I often browse through their recommendations before I make my emusic downloads each month. So they’re good at it, ok, they have a lot of data to show me, ok.
But how in the world do they know this?
For those of you who have ever played poker with me, well ‘aggressive player’ doesn’t quite describe my style of play but it comes close!

I was thinking last night how they should integrate with something like the last.fm plugin that scans your music collection. If they knew everything you already owned, they could make some kick-ass music recommendations (as long as they didn’t find the stuff I seem to have inherited from Suzi).

That would be awesome. Amazon and Last.fm FTW!
I wonder if part of the recent merger/deal with lovefilm was to get more info on people’s dvd tastes so they can recommend stuff more easily..?

Good point. I hadn’t thought about that side of it….
